What this site is about
The purpose of this site is to help linux users, new users and veterans get a (even)better experience with Linux. The way we try to achieve this is by making it possible to post links to useful information about Linux utilities which are not getting the attention they should. Many people have the experience of finding that special tool on the Internet which they should have known about years ago.
If you know of such a special tool, which is just the greatest thing you have seen since you first experienced Linux, please help out and post it here.
If you happen to find that special tool which you were looking for here, and you think it has more value then some higher rated tool in the list, then vote it up. Higher rated utility's are more likely to be found in the list by your fellow Linux user. So help us make the world a little better, easier, prettier, and vote up that supertool.
There's also the Linux usability section, this is about devices which are usable with Linux, your allowed to post anything here. As long as it has something to do with how (un)usable something is with Linux. If you have an ipod and you know how to use it with Linux? Post your experience! If you bought a camera which is completely incompatible with Linux, and you had to install windows or throw away the camera? Post your experience, so others wont be buying this useless device after you. If you think a post in this list has more value then another? Again vote it up!
It should become a database of usability where people can search/browse for which device they should choose if they want to buy something and keep using Linux ;-)
The install Linux list is the place where you should post links to installation manuals/howto's sometimes the instructions by the makers of a distro are not the best installation instructions, so vote here for the better howto.
If you have anything to say feel free to leave a comment in any of the sections or on any post, don't have to register to do that. You don't need to fill in an url so if you just need to say something about the subject or want to leave a tutorial or experience for the next reader, you're allowed to post anything related to the subject.
Find a broken link? please leave a comment, and it will be fixed.
Did you get to this site with a question, and didn't find the answer? Remember to come back and put the answer on the site, for the other users after you.
Have an opinion about how we can improve the site, please leave a comment here. This will be greatly appreciated.
