Cute Linux powered humanoid robot, speaks, listens and knows your face

This is wakamura a 100cm high little robotic pall , originally developed to be used in house as a baby sitter.
It has face recognition for 10 faces and understands 10000 words. It's powered by Linux and it's developed by mitsubishi.

Designed by the renowned industrial designer Mr. Toshiyuki Kita.He imagined a growing child. "wakamaru" is a yellow color because this color attracts attention, is invigorating, and has strong connotations with happiness.

All functions of "wakamaru" have been developed to communicate with human beings.The robot is designed for eye to eye communication. "wakamaru" is designed to live by itself without asking for human assistance. It has its own life cycle and can charge its battery automatically. Its design was build for safety as it was designed as a family robot.

Superior robot technology and intensive design gave birth to a communication robot who seems to have an independent personality. The robot is internet connected and can guide people and make pictures on demand.
