Handle With Linux

Installation of ubuntu linux 8.04 on the toshiba l300 a howto:

This is a log of my efforts to get Linux going on my shiny (and cheap) L300. I kept this log because I wished someone else had put one on their website when I was installing ubuntu myself.

update:

ubuntu linux 8.10 seems to have better support for this laptop, and it is also possible to get the wireless working.

The Toshiba Sattelite has been reported as running Suse Linux 10.3 without any major problems.

Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-EZ1004X bought 3 months ago, I tried to install the linux operating system using SUSE Linux 10.3 installation DVD, truly extraordinary and I found no problem in the installation process, Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-EZ1004X has excellent support of the Linux operating system, no problems experienced doing my job using openoffice in the Linux operating system.
